SysAdminSmith.com is dedicated to providing quality, free, and personalized computer help for anybody at any level. I also would like to share ideas about IT and my current projects. To see the latest in my SQL Server Monitoring Using Powershell Please click here.I created this site because I hate when I Google something, I see a result that looks like what I am looking for then I have to pay to get the information. I believe that information on the net should be free. This site is based on that. I will have some ads and I will have a donation button. These are to try and generate some funds since I do have to spend time on the site. If something helps you out then donations are always appreciated but again I will help you if I can for free. In order to get help please click on the Submit a Question link and send me your question. Once I get it I will do all I can to get you an answer in a timely manner. Please understand that all information provided is as is and I can not be responsible for any lost data or any damage that may occur.
I am a current IT Professional that works for a large media company in Phoenix Arizona. I have been with this company for over 5 years and have worked my way up from the help desk all the way to a Systems Database Administrator. This journey includes a stop in our tech shop where I worked on any problem that occurred on a workstation, installed and maintained software and OS, hardware upgrades and issues and anything in between. I also had a stop as a Windows Server Administrator. This included supporting over 250 Windows servers, VMWare, as well as multiple Citrix Farms. Now I am a DBA and I support SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering Technology. So I do have the education and the experience to offer you help.
I think that everyone has an ‘Inner Geek’. I want to help you get in touch with your inner geek and help you enjoy computers. So many people pay so much to have simple things done to computers just because they have some fear of technology. By getting in touch with your geek, you will be able to feel more comfortable with your computer, get more out of it, and save some money when you do have a problem. If you already know the geek in you then I might still be able to help with something that you are having a hard time with. Give me a try, send me a note and lets get our Geek On!!
Also check out some of the other things on my site. I have a blog that I will update with projects and other things that I am working on. Right now I am working on a big project where I am trying to use Windows PowerShell scripts to monitor the about 100 SQL Servers that my team is responsible for. I will be sharing ideas and my complete code when it is complete and production tested. Thanks again.
